| The Narked Sharks
organized on trip to Cayman Brac. Bruce, Dave, Karen, Scott, Wayne, Paul,
Jeannie, & Steve reported that a good time was had by all, with the
possible exception of Jeannie who severely sprained her ankle. Her
boyfriend, Paul, continues his unbroken string of fun vacations. Three
now?
The group stayed at the Brac Reef Beach Resort which was
very nice. Many Narked Shark diets fell victim to the resort's outstanding
3-meal buffet. Divemasters Craig and Coney from Reef Divers were
outstanding, and the dive boat - Little Sister was an excellent platform
for the 18 dives made during the week. Mostly sunny skies, with air
temperatures in the low to mid-80s. The water was a comfortable 82
degrees, with visibility typically greater than 100 feet. The seas
were mostly calm, however the return trip from Little Cayman was fairly
rough, sending a couple Narked Sharks to the gunwales. During the
manager's weekly cocktail party, Dave & Karen received T-shirts for
making their second trip to the island, while Paul & Jeannie won a
scented candle during the "What's in my Pocket" competition.
Karaoke night was especially entertaining, with fellow divers Bill and
Tom, aka 'Ted', bringing those in attendance to a standing ovation!
The Narked Sharks finished up the trip with an island
tour, which included a visit to Brac's museum, bluffs, caves, and of
course, the "Jeannie Hartman" Memorial Hospital.... |
